Some people only dream of Angels. We held one in our arms.
For 9 months we waited anxiously for the birth of our daughter, Keira Huyen-Tran Bach. We were nervous and excited at the same time to meet her. The big day came on Monday, October 2, 2006, as we welcome Keira into the world and into our lives. Keira was born at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital in Fountain Valley, California. She was 6 pounds, 9 ounces and 19 ¼ inches long. She had dark black hair, beautiful big brown eyes and perfect complexion.
On Thanksgiving weekend, in the arms of her Godmother, Keira was baptized at the Shrine of Our Lady La Vang in Las Vegas, Nevada, witnessed by family and friends.
Keira received her angel wings on Sunday, December 17, 2006, while sleeping in her crib. We found her lifeless body approximately 1 ½ hour after we put her down for a nap. Keira was 2 ½ months old. She leaves behind, her proud parents and brother.
Keira’s funeral service was on Saturday, December 23, 2006, at Melrose Abbey in Anaheim, California. Though it was a Christmas weekend, there were about 150 people in attendance. It was a beautiful day. Keira was in her white christening dress. Her Godmother delivered the most beautiful eulogy. The priest that performed our wedding ceremony also performed the funeral service. At the end of the service, we let go 76 white balloons into Heaven, representing the number of days we held her in our arms. She was and is our little Angel.

We cannot express in words the pain, hurt and guilt that have consumed us. We have always accepted that life is unfair but never to the extent of losing our precious Keira. Some people said that we must have done something right in our lives because God have chosen us to be her parents and that He chose her to be His angel and to be our saint. We will never know why, will we? Perhaps, someday, somehow, our questions will be answered and we will understand.
Until we hold you in our arms again, we love you forever and miss you endlessly.
Love Mommy & Daddy
